"Teen Vogue" also introduced "I’ll Be There" as a track based on the rockabilly genre that incorporates various instrumental sounds along with Jin's captivating voice.
They noted the change in his musical style compared to previous solo songs, adding that "he mostly delivered ballads before, but this song spreads a message of happiness." "Vogue" highlighted Jin's transformation from a “pop star” to a “rock star," commenting that "Jin's dedicated heart is felt more than ever compared to previous works."
"Billboard" wrote that the song is "an anthem about passionately dedicating oneself to something," while "Rolling Stone" mentioned it as an homage to the rockabilly genre.
"I’ll Be There" is a genre mix of rock and roll and country music. It delivers a message of being there to provide strength and happiness when one feels alone. The song achieved good results on various charts; it reached 9th place on Spotify's "Daily Top Song Global" (as of the 25th) and secured the 1st spot on Japan’s Oricon "Single Ranking."
Meanwhile, Jin is set to release "Happy" on the 15th of next month.
