Actors Ma Dong-seok and Park Hyung-sik have teamed up for an action blockbuster. STUDIO X+U announced on the 22nd, "The global project 'Twelve' has been confirmed for production, and Ma Dong-seok and Park Hyung-sik have been cast. They are expected to present a strong and fresh combination."

'Twelve' is a fantasy action blockbuster inspired by the 12 Zodiac Guardians of the East. It tells the story of 12 angels living in human form to protect humans from demons. They engage in a massive battle against forces of evil trying to awaken sealed powers in the human world. A source hinted, "The intense chemistry between Ma Dong-seok and Park Hyung-sik is something to look forward to."

Ma Dong-seok will play 'Taesan,' the leader of the 12 Guardians and an angel symbolizing the tiger. Park Hyung-sik will transform into 'Ogui,' symbolizing the crow, an evil force awakened from the seal.

'Twelve' modernly revives the worldview encompassing Eastern and Western cultures along with the story of the 12 Zodiac Guardians. 'Twelve' refers to the angels who descended to protect humans from demons. The story of the 12 Zodiac Guardians is brought to life in a contemporary setting.

Long ago, the sacrifice of angels narrowly sealed the forces of evil in the gates of hell, restoring peace. However, after thousands of years, the demons awaken, bringing chaos again.

The production company stated, "It encompasses Eastern and Western cultures, including the 12 Guardians and the sealing of demons. It promises grand action, spectacular visuals, and a story that resonates with audiences worldwide."

Director Kang Dae-gyu will helm the project. He has previously demonstrated detailed direction in 'Harmony' and 'Pawn.' The production is managed by Contentszi, Big Punch Pictures, STUDIO X+U, and Nova Film.

Meanwhile, 'Twelve' is scheduled for release in 2025.
