Actor Lim Ji-yeon gets entangled in a survival scam, transitioning from an escaped servant to a noble lady. JTBC's new weekend drama "Lady Ok" (written by Park Ji-sook, directed by Jin Hyeok) released its first poster on the 22nd. The poster features Goo-deok (played by Lim Ji-yeon), a servant riding in a flower palanquin.
The atmosphere is unusual. Goo-deok wears faded rags that contrast with the ornate decorations of the palanquin, hinting at her fate of living a life different from her born status. Her appearance is striking as well, with shabby clothes and a lifeless expression. Although she bears the appearance of a servant with scratches on her face, there is a subtle elegance in her posture.
The complex psychology of the servant is visible. The phrase "The Fate of a Servant Carried in a Flower Palanquin" arouses curiosity about Goo-deok's inevitable defiance of her status. "Lady Ok" is a fantasy historical drama about a woman whose name, status, husband, and everything were false, and a man who sacrifices his life to protect her.
Lim Ji-yeon plays the versatile character Ok Tae-young and also takes on the role of the runaway servant Goo-deok. Although they are the same person, she is expected to showcase completely different appearances. Choo Young-woo is cast as Yein Cheon Seung-hwi, who falls in love with Ok Tae-young at first sight and aids her. He pretends not to know her true identity while dreaming of a new world together.
Meanwhile, "Lady Ok" will premiere at 10:30 PM on the 30th of next month.
