
Actress Kim Hee-sun lent her support to promoting K-art in New York, USA, by introducing contemporary Korean art as a content director.
Kim Hee-sun participated in the opening of the ‘ATO: Beautiful Gift Collection Exhibition in New York’ held at the Chelsea Gallery AP Space in New York on the 10th.
This exhibition is an extension of ‘ATO: Beautiful Gift,’ which was held last year, and features works by artists such as Kang Hyung-gu, Kim Kang-yong, Park Seo-bo, Park Seok-won, Lee Ufan, and Lee Lee-nam.
Kim Hee-sun served as the art content director for the second consecutive year and was responsible for overall directing.
Approximately 130 art pieces were displayed in the large exhibition space.
Artists Kang Hyung-gu and Lee Lee-nam were also present.
Kang presented live painting in real-time, while Lee showcased media art, which combines technology and art.
International art figures such as American photographer Christopher Makos, sculptor Carole A.
Feuerman, and Diana Benson, Director of LH Museum, also attended.
Kim Hee-sun expressed her hopes that this exhibition would further raise global awareness of contemporary Korean art and praised the infinite potential of K-art.
Meanwhile, the ‘Beautiful Gift in New York’ exhibition, featuring Kim Hee-sun, continues until the 23rd of next month.
