Singer JD1 (Jeong Dong-won) delivers retro vibes. On the 12th, JD1 will release his third digital single, “Take Responsibility.”

This song is a remake of a track originally released by the group Untitle in 1996.

JD1 reinterprets the song, beloved by teens in the late ’90s, in his own style.

The song was composed by Untitle’s member Yoo Gun-hyung, with lyrics co-written by another member, Seo Jung-hwan.

The lyrics candidly express the emotions of teens, containing confessions of love and heartbreak.

With its addictive melody and refreshing mood, the song conveys the bright energy of teens.

JD1 offers a new interpretation of teenage identity and emotions in his unique style, aiming to deliver emotions that transcend time and generations, beyond simply remaking retro music.

The music video also captures an analog sentiment.

The teaser video, released on the 11th, provides a brief glimpse of dynamic dance performances, along with the powerful lyrics, “Because of you, I can’t do anything.”

This album comes about four months after his last release.

JD1 previously released “Who Am I” in January and the digital single “Error 405” in May.

He continues his active journey with his third new song release this year.

JD1 is the independent persona created by singer and producer Jeong Dong-won as he challenges himself with various genres, unveiling his idol persona.

He even became a nominee for first place in music shows immediately after his debut.

Meanwhile, JD1’s “Take Responsibility” will be released at 6 PM today on major music platforms.
