Actor Cho Byeong-kyu helps descendants of independence patriots. He donated the proceeds from his play.

On the 7th, HB Entertainment announced, "Cho Byeong-kyu recently donated 25 million won to Habitat for Humanity Korea." The amount is the entire proceeds from the play 'Island.'

This donation will be used to improve the living environment of families who are descendants of independence patriots. It will be used as resources for building homes for those suffering from poor living conditions.

Habitat for Humanity Korea expressed, "We are deeply grateful for Cho Byeong-kyu's good influence. It will be used transparently to improve the housing conditions of the families of independence patriot descendants."

Cho Byeong-kyu has been having a positive influence through talent donations and other activities. He was appointed as an ambassador for the "Just Miracle" project, which promotes the culture of donation by the Community Chest of Korea, last July.

'Island' was planned with the purpose of support from its preparation stage. He announced on his personal social media, "I decided to donate all the proceeds."

His agency stated, "This donation adds even more meaning to Cho Byeong-kyu's sharing activities" and requested to "pay attention to his next steps as he continues to expand his endeavors."

Meanwhile, Cho Byeong-kyu is considering appearing in a new drama titled 'Sarena University.'
