
Actor Lee Do-hyun makes a surprise appearance as a special MC on KBS's flagship music variety show 'Immortal Songs.' According to KBS-2TV, a special episode, 'Immortal Songs – 2024 Armed Forces Day Special,' will air on the 5th, with Lee Do-hyun joining as a special MC. He will work alongside the regular MCs Shin Dong-yup, Kim Joon-hyun, and Lee Chan-won from start to finish.
The production team shared some behind-the-scenes details, mentioning that Shin Dong-yup praised Lee Do-hyun's hosting skills. Shin Dong-yup said, "I went offstage and told him, 'Do-hyun, you're really good.' Being an MC is not easy, actually."
Lee Do-hyun is currently serving in the military. He shared, "I am serving as an MC soldier. I applied for the MC soldier role, allowing me to utilize my skills as an actor. I approached it as one of my roles."
The production team revealed, "When interviewing the soldiers present, Lee Do-hyun saluted them with 'Victory' before asking questions," noting that "as an MC soldier, he maintained a disciplined demeanor and demonstrated stable hosting skills, earning applause."
This special edition is organized to commemorate the '76th Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Korea.' Singers like Insooni, Koyote, Min Woo-hyuk, Young-tak, Ailee, Liberante, and TripleS will take the stage, delivering energy comparable to military morale.
A special performance by the Ministry of National Defense Chorus is also planned, with current military personnel such as Cho Seung-yeon, Jung Seung-hwan, as well as 'Forestella's' Go Woo-rim and 'Liberante's' Kim Ji-hoon participating. The U.S. 8th Army Band and Army 2nd Corps Taekwondo Demonstration Team will also make appearances.
'Immortal Songs' airs every Saturday at 6:05 PM.
