Stray Kids Sets Record in the US… ‘ATE’, Highest K-pop Album Sales

Stray Kids have added another major milestone to their record. Their mini album 'ATE' has become the highest-selling K-pop album in the United States in 2024.

On the 5th, JYP Entertainment announced, "Stray Kids' mini album 'ATE,' released on July 19, has topped the list of the highest-selling K-pop albums in the U.S. for 2024 (as of local time, September 30)."

Globally, it ranks fourth, following Taylor Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department,' Travis Scott's 'Days Before Rodeo,' and Billie Eilish's 'Hit Me Hard and Soft.'

Previously, with this album, they attained a career high on the Billboard charts. On August 3rd (local time), they became the first group in the world to achieve 'five consecutive number one debuts,' reaching the top of the U.S. Billboard main chart 'Billboard 200.'

They are captivating the global music market. They have topped the album charts of France's Syndicat National de l'Édition Phonographique and Belgium's Ultratop Albums Top 200 chart. Recently, they maintained the number one spot for seven consecutive weeks on Billboard and the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry's Greece album chart.

They continue their momentum. Stray Kids will attend the 'American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special' on the 6th. They will perform alongside pop artists such as Mariah Carey, Green Day, Nile Rodgers, and Chic.

Stray Kids are currently embarking on a new world tour, 'Dominate.' They kicked off the tour on August 24-25 in Seoul. On the 19th, they will hold an exclusive concert at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
