"Sir, would you like to play a game with me?" (Gong Yoo)
The Netflix series 'Squid Game Season 2' announced its grand return. On the 1st, the official Korean YouTube channel opened the Season 2 teaser video, saying "You are invited."
The main character was the so-called 'Ddakji Man', Gong Yoo. He reenacted a scene from the CF. At the designated time, he washed up and chose a clean monotone suit and tie.
In his briefcase, he packed red and blue ddakji. He also prepared 50,000-won and 10,000-won bills. Gong Yoo also carried the business card for 'Squid Game'.
The subway where he met Seong Gi-Hun (played by Lee Jung-Jae) in Season 1 also reappeared. Gong Yoo faced the camera directly holding a ddakji in the subway, and asked, "Would you like to play a game with me?", hinting at Season 2.
'Squid Game 2' is the sequel to 'Squid Game' (2021). Seong Gi-Hun returns with a vow for revenge and participates in the game once more. He engages in a fierce battle with the Front Man (played by Lee Byung-Hun).
Director Hwang will again be in charge of directing, screenplay, and production for Season 2. Lee Jung-Jae, Lee Byung-Hun, Gong Yoo, and Wi Ha-Joon will star in it.
There are new faces too: Im Si-Wan, Kang Ha-Neul, Park Gyu-Young, Lee Jin-Wook, Park Sung-Hoon, Yang Dong-Geun, Kang Ae-Shim, Lee Doo-Hwi, Choi Seung-Hyun, No Jae-Won, Jo Yoo-Ri, and Won Ji-An.
'Squid Game 2' will be released on Netflix on December 26th.
