Netflix will release season 2 of the series 'Gyeongseong Creature' on the 27th. Ahead of this, the production team revealed the top 3 highlights and stills for season 2, hinting at the narratives of Hojae (played by Park Seo-joon) and Chae-ok (played by Han So-hee).

First, the production team highlighted the deepened narrative between Hojae and Chae-ok as the first point of interest. They hinted at the ensemble of the two characters spanning from 1945 Gyeongseong to 2024 Seoul, illustrating a connection that transcends time.

In 2024 Seoul, Chae-ok is working under the name 'Eun Jebi' to find missing people. By coincidence, she encounters Hojae at a scene she was dispatched to. Hojae is the deputy representative of Bugang Corporation, taking on any lucrative tasks.

Chae-ok is thrown into confusion when she meets Hojae, who looks identical to 'Taesang' (played by Park Seo-joon). Hojae also doesn't find Chae-ok completely unfamiliar. He feels inexplicable emotions. Park Seo-joon stated, "To express Hojae's confusion, I paid extra attention to my expressions."

The stills boast dark tones, depicting Taesang in Bugang Corporation in 1945 and Chae-ok standing lonely in a crowd. The 2024 scenes unveiled moments of Hojae and Chae-ok embracing tightly.

The second point of interest is the expanded story and intensified suspense. The production team explained, "Season 2, like season 1, tells the story of people confronting monstrous desires."

They added, "A bizarre series of murders reminiscent of the disappearances in 1945 Gyeongseong occurs. The arduous journey of Hojae and Chae-ok in pursuit of the truth reveals the conclusion of a vicious cycle that began in the past."

The introduction of new villains also raises expectations. 'Captain Kuroko' (played by Lee Moo-saeng) and 'Seungjo' (played by Bae Hyun-sung) show that the nightmare of Gyeongseong hasn't ended despite decades passing. The laboratory of Jeonseung Pharmaceuticals reminiscent of the underground lab of Ongseong Hospital in Gyeongseong.

The final point of interest conveyed by the production team is production design. As the setting shifts from 1945 Gyeongseong to 2024 Seoul, director Jeong Dong-yoon approached the production planning of season 2 with a fresh perspective.

1994 Gyeongseong to 2024 Seoul – to maintain continuity of buildings and ambiance. He added and altered props and art elements to reflect the passage of time.

The director explained, "The office of Bugang Corporation resembles Geumokdang in Gyeongseong on the outside but is remodeled inside. I wanted it to reflect the changes over time."

'Gyeongseong Creature' Season 2 is set in 2024 Seoul, where 'Hojae,' who resembles everything about 'Taesang,' meets 'Chae-ok,' who lived through the spring of Gyeongseong. Together, they unravel the enduring connections, destiny, and vicious cycles of Gyeongseong.

Season 2 consists of a total of 7 episodes.
