'Stray Kids' Felix practiced sharing to celebrate his birthday.
On the 15th, Felix donated 50 million won each to UNICEF and World Vision in celebration of his birthday. He donated a total of 100 million won.
The donations will be used for supporting nutrition and water sanitation projects for children in Laos and for the 'Morning Meal' breakfast support project for vulnerable children in Korea.
Earlier, in January, Felix also donated 100 million won to help children in Laos who were suffering from poor nutrition and water sanitation. By making another donation, he continued to spread his warm heart.
He is also the youngest member of the UNICEF Honors Club, a group of high-value donors. In February, he personally visited Laos to look at the sites of UNICEF's projects and witnessed various difficulties faced by local children.
He said, "The children in Laos always had bright smiles even in difficult environments" and added, "I want to continue to contribute love and support to protecting the pure hearts of these children."
He continued, "I am really grateful that I could share the precious love I have received from fans with the children, which made the day even more special. I'm happy that I could fulfill my birthday wish."
Jomi Jin, Secretary-General of the Korean Committee for UNICEF, said, "Felix's actions, always accompanied by heartfelt affection, set an example for many."
UNICEF is the only institution explicitly mentioned in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child for promoting children's rights. It is a UN subsidiary organization that carries out projects for the health, nutrition, water and sanitation, education, protection, and emergency relief of children worldwide.
