The movie 'Veteran 2' (directed by Ryoo Seung-wan) has surpassed 3 million viewers. This achievement came just 5 days after its release.
According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network for movie tickets, 'Veteran 2' attracted 854,238 viewers on the 17th. It has topped the box office for 5 consecutive days.
The cumulative audience count is 3,714,915. This record was achieved 2 days faster than this year’s 10 million film 'Pamyung' (7 days). Compared to 'Spring in Seoul' (10 days), it reached this mark 5 days faster.
The movie is expected to surpass 4 million viewers during the Chuseok holiday period. As of 9 AM on the 18th, the real-time reservation rate is 63.9%, with 275,058 people participating in advance reservations.
'Veteran 2' is a sequel to 'Veteran.' It depicts Detective Seo Do-cheol (played by Hwang Jung-min) and rookie Detective Park Sun-woo (played by Jung Hae-in) chasing a serial killer.
