Tragic Accident in Jeonbuk Wanju Valley: 8-Year-Old Elementary Student Dies

In a valley in Dongsangmyeon, Wanju-gun, Jeonbuk, an elementary school student who was enjoying water play with his family sadly drowned.

According to the Jeonbuk Fire Department, a report was received around 5:18 PM on the 13th that an 8-year-old boy, referred to as A, had fallen into the water in the valley of Wanju-gun.

Upon receiving this report, emergency responders from the 119 rescue team rushed to the scene, where they found A being given cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) by a guardian.

The rescue team immediately transported A, who was in cardiac arrest, to a nearby hospital; however, he unfortunately could not be revived and was pronounced dead. It is reported that A was enjoying water play at Dongsang Valley with his family, including his parents and siblings at the time of the incident.
