Anaphylaxis
Anaphylaxis, a life-threatening acute allergic reaction
Anaphylaxis is an acute systemic allergic reaction that occurs when the immune system becomes hypersensitive to specific substances. These severe allergic reactions are mainly triggered by foods such as peanuts, shellfish, and milk, as well as medications and insect stings.
Peanut allergies, in particular, are known to be one of the serious allergies commonly found in children.
The risk of anaphylaxis lies in the speed of its onset.

Symptoms can appear within minutes to two hours after exposure to the allergen, and if appropriate treatment is delayed, it can develop into a severe situation.
In the worst case, it can lead to difficulty in breathing, a drop in blood pressure, loss of consciousness, and even death, making rapid response essential.
This case serves as a reminder of the importance of emergency response systems for allergic reactions, even in tourist areas.
Jeju Udo is known for its famous peanut ice cream as a tourism product, making it a location that requires special attention from visitors with allergies.
