On the 6th, before attending a meeting of senior lawmakers, Rep. Jung spoke with reporters, referring to a message sent by former President Yoon to his supporters, stating, "Leave the party and send a message."

On that day, former President Yoon sent a statement to his supporters, the "National Defense Lawyers' Group," saying, "I will always be by your side." This was the second message following the Constitutional Court's impeachment judgment, but it still did not include any acceptance of the ruling.

In response, Rep. Jung criticized, "What does someone who violated the constitution have to say to send such a message?"

He emphasized that former President Yoon should reflect and have a sense of apology toward the people. As the longest-serving member of the People Power Party, Rep. Jung has consistently voiced criticisms regarding various issues within the party.

In particular, Jung made it clear that he opposed the claim made by some lawmakers during a closed-door meeting of the People Power Party following the Constitutional Court's impeachment decision, which argued that actions should be taken against those in favor of impeachment.

He appeared on CBS Radio's "Park Jae-hong's One-on-One" and stated, "I believe impeachment is warranted because the president declared an illegal and unconstitutional state of emergency." He also pointed out that a member of the National Assembly represents the people, rather than being someone who chases after or protects those in power.
