Tragic Incident Arises from Bathroom Usage Dispute

A dispute over bathroom usage time between brothers in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, has led to a tragic outcome.

According to the police on the 20th, the Gwanak Police Station in Seoul arrested a man in his 40s around 7 PM that day for allegedly using a weapon to kill his younger brother, who is one year younger than him, in an apartment in Bongcheon-dong, Gwanak-gu.

This incident is an unfortunate example of how ordinary family conflicts can escalate into extreme violence; a trivial disagreement over bathroom usage time has expanded into a serious crime of murder.

According to police investigations, the perpetrator reportedly became enraged and wielded a weapon after a verbal argument over his younger brother using the home bathroom for too long.

The victim, the younger brother, sustained injuries to his chest and arms and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Consequently, the police plan to change the charges against the perpetrator from attempted murder to murder as the investigation continues.
