Cambodian Influencer Attempts to Smuggle Methamphetamine via Express Cargo
The Incheon International Airport Customs Office has arrested two South Koreans for smuggling methamphetamine using express cargo from Cambodia.
Customs authorities announced that they have arrested and transferred A (33, female) and B (33, male) to prosecution on charges of violating drug control laws for illegally importing 11.77 grams of methamphetamine in July.
This incident began in April of this year when customs officials conducted inspections of express cargo arriving from Cambodia.

Customs officers found methamphetamine cleverly concealed in five separate packages within a pouch in a travel bag and immediately launched an investigation.
The customs investigation team traced the delivery address of the cargo to apprehend B, and through further investigation, confirmed the existence of co-conspirator A, who had sent the drugs from Cambodia.
Subsequently, they successfully apprehended A upon her entry at Incheon Airport.
Conspiracy to Smuggle Drugs between a Cambodian Influencer and an Investor
The investigation revealed that A was an influencer and show host in Cambodia and was knowledgeable about local circumstances.

She was responsible for purchasing methamphetamine locally in Cambodia and sending it to South Korea, utilizing her geographical advantage.
Meanwhile, B was known to have engaged in personal investment activities such as cryptocurrency and stocks, and it was found that he provided the necessary funds for the drug smuggling and distribution.
The two were discovered to have systematically proceeded with international drug smuggling crimes, leveraging their respective areas of expertise.
