A 20s man armed with machine gun ammunition was arrested at the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office.
A man in his 20s was caught by police while trying to enter the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office with machine gun ammunition.
On the 30th, the Seocho Police Station announced that they had arrested a man identified as A as a flagrant offender on charges of violating the Gun and Firearms Act.

According to Yonhap News and police officials, A was caught by security personnel while trying to pass through a security checkpoint around 12:40 PM that day with a single 60mm machine gun bullet in his bag.
It appears that the security system at the prosecutor's office functioned properly, preventing a more serious incident.
When police arrived at the scene, A was reportedly incoherent, but it was said that he did not make any political statements. The police currently believe that there are no indications related to national security concerns.
Police have seized the ammunition from A and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
