Shocking Taxi Crime Incident
A man in his 20s, who murdered a taxi driver in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, and fled with the taxi, was urgently arrested by the police.
The Hwaseong West Police Station announced on the 26th that they had arrested Mr. A on charges of murder and other crimes.

According to the investigation, Mr. A reportedly wielded a weapon and killed a 60-year-old taxi driver, Mr. B, on a road in Bibong-myeon, Hwaseong, at around 3:29 AM on the 26th, after which he stole the taxi.
After the murder, Mr. A engaged in further criminal activity by hitting two pedestrians with the stolen taxi while trying to escape.
Swift Arrest and Follow-Up Actions
Upon receiving a report from a witness, the police immediately began their investigation.
Following a prompt pursuit, including analysis of nearby CCTV footage, they successfully apprehended Mr. A approximately one hour after the crime occurred in the area of Bangbae-dong, Seoul.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed that the two pedestrians who were struck by Mr. A's vehicle are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
The specific condition of the victims has not yet been disclosed.
The police plan to conduct a more detailed investigation into the exact motive behind Mr. A's actions and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
